V W RUGS was founded 10 years ago in Sydney with a strong mission and motivation to establish direct relations with Australian companies and consumers without any middle man, so that the local companies and consumers can enjoy the benefit of dealing directly with well established overseas manufacturing unit while still liaising locally and avoid unnecessary hassles which may incur when dealing with overseas companies.
Over these 40 years, our manufacturing unit has been exporting its quality handmade rugs to various parts of the world such as Australia, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, United States of America, Brazil, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada and other major rug importing countries and have earned great reputation and trust among its customers and has developed long term and trustworthy business relations.
Our exclusive rugs and home decor ranges are all designed in Australia, while handmade by our skilled artisans within our own manufacturing unit based in India which is owned and operated by our family since 1975. V W RUGS is an Australia based Importer & Wholesale Distributor of quality handmade rugs and home decor items.
Having our own manufacturing setup has enabled us to meet and satisfy our customers demand whether it is single custom-made rug or container ordering for stores who want to have their own exclusive range with their own branding.

Our production unit is SMETA AUDITED fully accredited social compliance company and embraces fair trade practices, to ensure each produce is of highest quality. The unit is also founder member of ‘Care & Fare’ organisation which means that our each produce is 100% Free of Child Labour. We work closely with our experienced crafters who have been dying yarns and expertly weaving handmade rugs for generations. All our products are handmade and use various types of quality fibers to produce wide range of handmade rugs and fabulous home decor items. Besides above we also hand manufacture various home decor items such as Woolen and Cotton upholstery Benches, Cotton Knitted Ottomans, Jute Ottomans, Printed Ottomans, Silk and Cotton Cushions and Silk Table Runners. As part of our family’s commitment for cottage industry and for artisan’s families, we are continuously exploring different fiber combinations and items to develop exclusive handmade products and at the same time generate opportunities for our artisans to continue working on what they love and improve their lifestyle simultaneously.
